2 Basic Differences for the ipad Models
1) Different Memory Capacity- The ipad will come in different memory capacities, much like every other product Apple comes out with! Similar to the iPod touch and iPhones, the ipad is going to be priced differently depending on the quantity of memory storage you get.
16G- The 16 gigabyte model may be the cheapest of all of the models. This model will likely be for you if you do not plan on placing a ton of movies onto the device. You can count on approximately 1 GB of space to become taken up for a movie. So plan accordingly if you want to buy this model.
32G- Since a film takes up around 1 GB (depending on the movie!), movie buffs might want to go with a more memory such as the 32G model.
64G- At 64G, you are able to basically put a ton of information on this product without having to be worried about it. You could put a great library of movies, music, and ebooks.
Bottom line- This will depend on your intended use of the ipad obviously! You could easily obtain the lowest memory and just intend on erasing and replacing movies as they are watched. Other people who want their entire library of all things available will want to get the larger memory.
2) WiFi only or WiFi and 3G- There will be two types of each memory size. They will be "WiFi", or "3G and WiFi".
WiFi Models- The WiFi only models will be able to hook up with the internet in any WiFi area. You will just be while using actual internet at that time through a wireless router.
3G- This feature will allow you to access the web from anywhere there's 3G service. It should be noted that the 3G data plan will be necessary and cost extra.
Bottom Line- WiFi uses the internet. 3G you need a data plan. Should you go abroad, you'll need to turn on international data too. This isn't such as the "Kindle" in which the 3G just works.
So what is the best deal?
We've yet to see exactly what the most widely used models is going to be for most consumers. The memory dimensions are obviously up to just how much one can spend and how much "stuff" they would like to put about it.
Personally, i think the 3G will not be a very popular choice though. Only because you have to pay for a 3G data plan! It may be just like easy for some to hold back to use it when they're in a WiFi hotspot.
Obviously it's still up to personal preference and amount you're prepared to spend.
